Success rarely announces itself with fanfare. It accumulates quietly, one solved problem at a time, one satisfied client after another, until suddenly the world takes notice.

Today, Vevol Media reached one of those rare milestone moments: promotion to Shopify Plus Agency status. With this achievement, Vevol becomes only the second Irish agency ever admitted to Shopify's most exclusive partner tier.

This recognition places Vevol Media among the top 2% of Shopify agencies worldwide.

The Compound Effect of Doing Difficult Work Well

Shopify Plus Agency status isn't awarded for potential. It's earned through demonstrated excellence, verified technical skills, consistent delivery of enterprise-level solutions, and a proven track record of transforming complex eCommerce operations.

For Vevol Media, that meant 25+ successful migrations from platforms like Magento and VTEX. It meant late nights debugging intricate code. It meant saying yes to challenging projects others might avoid. Each migration was a small bet on their capabilities. Together, those bets compounded into something remarkable.

"From day one, our philosophy was simple: respect the client, respect the team, and the results will follow," said Dan, CEO & Co-founder of Vevol Media. "Becoming a Shopify Plus Agency is just recognition of the standards we already live by."

The results speak clearly: brands like MyGeisha, DY Nutrition, OneDameLane, Bound Apparel, and Dossier Perfumes chose Vevol for their most critical eCommerce skill. Not because the agency promised easy solutions, but because they delivered results when complexity was guaranteed.

Systems Over Goals: Building for the Long Game

Most agencies chase status. Vevol grows brands.

“We focused on building a team of exceptional people who can understand and solve the most complex Shopify problems,” explained Bogdan Dogaru, CTO and Co‑Founder. “With each project we have expanded our knowledge and refined our approach. We went from building storefronts to architecting entire Shopify ecosystems. Today, we’re not just writing code; we’re orchestrating growth. Being recognized at the Plus tier is proof that we’ve evolved from implementers into strategic partners who unify development, data and marketing to help merchants scale globally.”

This systematic approach led to innovations far beyond client work. We began with bespoke Shopify store builds and soon tackled headless commerce. We built custom and public apps, including our own app (Company Form Romania), launched Noblesse, an official Shopify theme, and developed Checkout extensions and Functions. Alongside these technical achievements, we brought the community together: hosting the first Shopify Meetup Romania in 2024, a CEE Meetup in 2025, and now preparing to welcome everyone to the Shopify Meetup Dublin in October 2025.

What Changes (And What Doesn't)

Shopify Plus Agency status unlocks priority support, early access to platform innovations, and deeper collaboration with Shopify's core team. These advantages matter. They'll help Vevol serve enterprise clients even better.

But the fundamentals remain unchanged. The team will still obsess over technical details. They'll still take on migrations that make other agencies nervous. They'll still measure success by client results, not agency awards.

"Recognition is gratifying, but it's not the point," Dan added. "Our clients don't care about our badge. They care whether we can take their Magento store with 10 years of customisations and transform it into a Shopify Plus experience that's faster, cleaner, and ready to scale. That's the work. Everything else is just noise."

Looking Ahead

With Shopify Plus Agency status secured, Vevol Media is expanding its capabilities to serve more enterprise clients across Europe and beyond. The agency continues to focus on what it does best: solving complex technical challenges, delivering seamless migrations, and building long-term partnerships with brands ready to scale.

"We're grateful to everyone who's been part of this journey: our team, our clients, our partners," Bogdan reflected. "But we're not done. This milestone just raises the bar for what we need to deliver next. And honestly, that's exactly how we like it."

The best teams don't celebrate by resting. They celebrate by getting back to work.
